Maui Hawaii Small Boat Harbors

There are two primary harbors on Maui where 98% of all visitor activities disembark from: Maalaea Harbor, and Lahaina Harbor. The majority of the charter fishing boats leave from Lahaina harbor. These two harbors are roughly 20 minutes apart with light traffic.

If you're staying in Lahaina, Kaanapli, Kapalua, or other west Maui locations, you will want to look at boats out of Lahaina harbor. Lahaina harbour is roughly 10 minutes south of Kaanapali, and 15 minutes south of Kapalua.

If you're staying in Kihei, Wailea or Makena, you'll probably want to consider a boat that departs from Maalaea Harbor. Maalaea harbour is roughly 10-15 minutes outside of Kihei, and 20 minutes from Wailea.
